One right decision

Real teaching is not the transfer of technique.

I do not think teaching is handing over a set of techniques. Techniques are the easy half and they are forgotten under pressure anyway.

What is actually being transferred is experience — the kind that produces one right decision at a moment when there is no time to reason it out. If a lesson never reaches that, it was information, not teaching.
