Naghashi-khat is where the writing and the image stop being two activities. The word is still a word, but it is also a shape with weight and direction, and it has to survive being both.
Years of panels and drawings have mostly been an attempt to find a new relationship between those things. Most attempts fail, which is the point of making a hundred rather than one.
